The Ellen DeGeneres Show is ending after its 19 year run on TV. In an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, DeGeneres speaks out on why now is the time to end her popular talk show.

DeGeneres also spoke with TODAY's Savanna Savannah Guthrie in an interview that aired May 13th, 2021 to further discuss the ending of her show.
The Daytime Emmy winning show was under fire after allegations of a toxic workplace behind the scenes. DeGeneres has apologized for the allegations during the season premiere back in September 2020. The daytime talk show has also experienced an increased ratings drop since the season 18 premiere.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show is set to finish out its 18th season, which is currently airing now. The 19th season will officially be the last season of the show which will likely start to air in fall 2021.
